Autism Assessor Job

About the role

Shape high-quality private autism assessments with specialist expertise at KPI:Access.

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality private autism assessments for children and young people, helping families gain clarity, confidence and practical next steps. Bringing specialist autism assessment expertise into a multidisciplinary pathway, you’ll help ensure developmental, social, educational, medical and family information is carefully gathered, reviewed and presented to support robust diagnostic discussions, clear recommendations and meaningful outcomes that can shape the support a child receives at home, in education and beyond.

KPI:Access is a leading privately owned mental health provider, delivering specialist diagnostic assessments, outpatient psychiatry, psychology and psychotherapy across the UK. Working both privately and in partnership with the NHS, the service brings together experienced clinicians to provide safe, evidence-based care focused on meaningful outcomes for patients and families.

KPI:Access is expanding its private neurodevelopmental services in response to growing demand for timely ASD and ADHD assessments. This contractor opportunity has arisen as we continue to invest in clinically robust, family-focused pathways that give children, young people and families faster access to clarity, diagnosis and practical next steps.

How you’ll support this service

  • You’ll use your autism assessment expertise to gather detailed developmental, social, educational, medical and family information
  • You’ll apply ADI-R based approaches and recognised diagnostic criteria to support safe, evidence-based assessment work
  • You’ll review referral documentation, school reports, questionnaires and supporting evidence to build a clear assessment picture
  • You’ll prepare accurate, objective summaries that support multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions
  • You’ll communicate sensitively with children, young people, families, carers, schools and professionals
  • You’ll contribute to a child-centred, family-focused pathway that supports clear recommendations and meaningful outcomes
